Betfred backs a winner with new Anglian Water Business deal
Bookmaker Betfred is to build on the water efficiencies that have saved it £120,000 by switching all its water and wastewater requirements to Anglian Water Business with a three-year, UK-wide contract.
Betfred decided to consolidate all its water and wastewater contracts with a single supplier following the opening of the competitive English water market in April. The new contract covers 1,600 sites and continues a long-standing relationship between Anglian Water Business and the top £14 billion company, which started in 2013.
Already an Anglian Water Business (AWB) customer in Scotland and the Anglian region, Betfred has saved £120,000 thanks to AWB’s Active Water Management® service, which monitors consumption and finds opportunities for efficiency improvements.
Len Hodges from Betfred commented: “We’ve been impressed with the way that Anglian Water Business has managed our accounts in Scotland and the Anglian region, reducing our costs by improving efficiency. The company’s Active Water Management service has helped us make significant savings through water efficiency measures so Anglian Water Business was the natural choice when we decided to consolidate all our water contracts in England.”
Stuart Wischhusen, business account manager at Anglian Water Business, adds: “Over the past four years, we have delivered financial savings of £120,000 for Betfred, simply by helping them use water more efficiently. That’s not only a great financial outcome for the customer, it’s also a positive benefit for the environment and we now aim to apply the same value add approach to helping the company save money across the rest of their sites.”
