We’re joining forces with NWG Business to become Wave.

This 50/50 joint venture will create a new water retail company with a turnover of more than £500 million. Wave will have an estimated 19% market share across the UK and serve around 300,000 business customers. It brings together two companies with solid track records in the non-household retail market and with complementary strengths.

What does this mean for you?

Business customers will benefit from the combined experience of two companies who have been active in retail since 2005.

Wave will deploy many market leading innovations and capabilities, such as:

Wave’s proven experience in the management of industrial waste and trade effluent honed and refined through years of supporting some of the UK’s most complex and demanding industrial giants will appeal to large businesses across the country. In addition, customers will benefit from a well-earned reputation for providing flexible and efficient customer service built from catering for the needs of businesses across the length and breadth of the UK. This manifests itself not just through friendly and knowledgeable staff but also through the provision of the latest online account management services.

The result is that from the outset Wave will offer customers an unrivalled breadth of ability and knowledge to help them achieve greater efficiency in utility management. From dedicated account managers and innovative funding schemes for performance improvement across public sector and industrial and commercial customers, to free consumption monitoring as standard for all SME accounts, Wave will offer true value to all business segments. The recent decision to offer SME customers the ability to consolidate all services including gas and electricity under one umbrella – with one point of contact and fixed prices for energy for up to 5 years emphasises the determination of Wave to be a business that will be the example for other utility companies to follow.
